I brewed this after dinner last night and the caramelized pear smell filled the whole kitchen before I even took a sip. The marigold petals make it look fancy in the cup, and since it's caffeine free I had a second mug without worrying about sleep.
The rooibos and honeybush base makes this so smooth that I've stopped reaching for dessert after dinner. The pear sweetness is gentle, not syrupy, and the marigold petals make it look pretty in my glass pot. Caffeine free means I can have a cup at nine and still sleep fine.
I was skeptical about a pear tea that isn't overpoweringly sweet, but the marigold and apple keep it light. It's become my after-dinner cup — caffeine free, so I can have it at 9pm and still sleep fine.
